Scott is a managing director, business development and client relations. He came back to Sands Capital in 2021 as a senior director, client relations after initially joining the firm in 2011 as a research intern. In 2025, Scott was promoted to managing director.
Before returning to the firm, Scott was a managing director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where he advised entrepreneurs and family offices on all facets of their financial well-being. Earlier at J.P. Morgan, he was a member of its U.S. Advisory Council, reporting to the CEO and operating committee. Prior to J.P. Morgan, he was a vice president at FBR Capital Markets (now part of B. Riley Financial).
Scott received a BS in commerce from the UVA McIntire School of Commerce and an MBA from the UVA Darden School of Business.
