Joseph R. Andrasko

Joe is the chief executive officer and chief investment officer of Sands Capital Horizons. He joined Sands Capital in 2025.

Before joining the firm, Joe was the founder and managing partner of Fry’s Path Capital, an investment advisory firm supporting families with multigenerational wealth, as well as their related foundations. He was also an academic general faculty member at the UVA Darden School of Business where he taught courses on decision analysis, applied statistics, and investment analysis. Earlier in his career, Joe served as chief investment officer of Murray Enterprises, a single-family office, where he oversaw a global portfolio of outside investment managers and led direct investments in health care, technology, and real estate opportunities.

Prior to joining Murray Enterprises, Joe was a principal and founding member of Sustainable Development Capital, an investment partnership focused on early-stage private equity investments in underserved regions of sub-Saharan Africa. He began his career as an analyst in Deloitte Consulting’s strategy and operations practice.

Joe received an AB in economics and Spanish from Bowdoin College and an MBA from the UVA Darden School of Business where he was a recipient of the Frank E. Genovese Fellowship, William Michael Shermet Award, and Faculty Award for Academic Excellence.
