Jon joined Sands Capital in 2012 and is General Counsel of Sands Capital. Jon is responsible for managing all aspects of Sands Capital's legal matters. Prior to joining Sands Capital, Jon was associated with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Cravath, Swaine & Moore, LLP, where he had extensive experience with private investment funds, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and related regulatory regimes. Jon holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a juris doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center where he graduated magna cum laude and with the Order of the Coif designation.
An independent, staff-owned firm founded in 1992 and headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area with offices in London and Singapore, Sands Capital managed more than $46 billion in client assets as of September 30, 2023.
