Jon is the general counsel of Sands Capital Alternatives and of Sands Capital Management. He is responsible for managing all aspects of Sands Capital Alternatives’ legal and compliance matters, including fund formation, transaction execution, and regulatory compliance.
Before joining Sands Capital in 2012, Jon was associated with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher (now Gibson Dunn) and Cravath, Swaine & Moore, where he had extensive experience with private investment funds, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and related regulatory regimes.
Jon received a BA in political science and Japanese from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a JD from Georgetown Law.
