Kumar joined Sands Capital in 2014 and is an Analyst and Principal in the technology sector. Kumar primarily focuses on the Global Innovation Strategy, but also contributes to Sands Capital’s Public Equity and Venture Capital strategies. Kumar has experience investing in software and internet businesses globally, having worked on or led Sands Capital’s investments in AppDynamics, DocuSign, and Scopely, among others. He has also led public equity investments in businesses such Anaplan and Fiverr. Prior to joining Sands Capital, Kumar was a Senior Analyst at Altman Vilandrie & Company, a management consulting firm that advises businesses and investors in the telecom, media, and technology sectors. Kumar graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with a degree in Computer Science and earned a Masters in Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
