March 2023

Sands Capital has been awarded a 2022 Greenwich Quality Leader in Institutional Investment Management Service in the United States. In its February 2023 announcement of the four firms who had earned this distinction, Coalition Greenwich noted, “these asset managers have distinguished themselves from competitors by delivering superior levels of client service that help institutional investors achieve their investment goals and objectives.”

The Greenwich Quality Leader distinction was awarded on the basis of interviews with 727 institutional investors from 590 of the largest tax-exempt funds in the United States in terms of assets under management. The study was conducted between February and November of 2022. These investors manage corporate, public, union, and endowment and foundation funds that have either pension or investment pool assets valued at more than $150 million.

Frank Sands, CFA, the chief investment officer and chief executive officer of Sands Capital called the recognition “a testament to the great work of our team and their commitment to clients.”

“This recognition as a Greenwich Quality Leader reflects the effort our entire staff makes every day to fulfill our firm’s mission and purpose, and we’re all especially proud of earning this in a year when our team helped clients navigate difficult financial markets,” Frank added. Sands Capital exists to add value and enhance the wealth of clients with prudence over time. The firm’s stated purpose is to enable clients to fulfill their own missions, which include providing better retirements, better health care, innovative research, and charitable works for a better world.
