Meet the Panel

AShraf
Ashraf joined Sands Capital in 2008 as a Research Analyst on the Global Consumer Sector Team. He began working as a Co-Portfolio Manager of the Emerging Markets Growth strategy in 2011, and was promoted to Sr. Portfolio Manager in 2017. Ashraf helped create and launch International Growth in 2018, and serves as a co-Portfolio Manager on the strategy.
Ashraf earned a BA from Northwestern University (2001) and an MBA from Harvard Business School (2007). Prior to joining Sands Capital, he was an Investment Analyst at Chesapeake Partners, a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, and a Director, Business Development at GH Smart & Company.

Dave
Dave was one of Sands Capital’s first staff members, working as a Research Analyst when the firm first opened in 1992. He left to pursue his MBA in 1994, then worked as a Research Analyst and Vice President at State Street Research & Management, and as a Research Analyst at MFS Investment Management. In 2002, Dave returned to Sands Capital as a Research Analyst and later led the research efforts of the firm’s Global Industrials Sector Team. Dave helped develop the firm’s Global Growth strategy, as has served as a co-Portfolio Manager since its inception in 2008. He is also a member of the Executive Management Team, which provides strategic leadership across the firm.
Dave earned a BSBA from the University of Florida (1990) and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia (1996).

Suni
Suni joined Sands Capital as a Research Associate Intern and became a full-time Research Analyst in 2006 following business school. He later led the research efforts of the firm’s Global Financial Services Sector Team. In 2007, Suni became Co-Portfolio Manager of the firm’s Global Growth strategy. He later helped create and launch Global Leaders (2017) and International Growth (2018), and serves as a Co-Portfolio Manager of both strategies.
Suni earned a BA from Colby College (1999) and an MBA from Columbia Business School (2006). Prior to joining Sands Capital, he worked as an Analyst and Associate at Charles River Associates, Inc.

Tom joined Sands Capital in 2005 as a Research Associate on the Global Technology Sector Team, and was promoted to Research Analyst in 2008. He was named Co-Portfolio Manager of the Technology Innovators strategy in 2012. Tom was promoted to Sr. Research Analyst in 2016, was named Co-Portfolio Manager of the Select Growth strategy in 2017, and in 2021 he was promoted to Sr. Portfolio Manager.
Tom earned a BA in Chemistry and a BS in Physics-Engineering from Washington & Lee University (2005).
