Sands Capital’s Chief Investment Officer and Chief Executive Frank M. Sands, along with Michael Graninger and Scott Frederick, both managing partners of the Sands Capital Global Ventures strategy, were cited among the 225 most innovative and important people in Washington, D.C.’s tech scene by the Washingtonian in its 2022 Tech Titans line up. The article lists the entrepreneurs, government officials, cybersecurity experts, venture capitalists, and others “to know.”

The magazine notes that it compiled the list over the past year during which an increasing number of companies tried to navigate a flood of money into the tech arena; funders scrambled to diversify the tech pipeline to include more women and people of color; new arrivals in government looked to remake the country’s rules around competition; and lobbyists worked to reset official Washington’s increasingly tense relationship with the American tech industry.
